AUP/TOS/Privacy Policy

Use of SOSDG services is governed by our Terms Of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.  When you provide information to us (such as when you want to get an account), it is covered under the Privacy Policy.

 

Terms Of Service

Our systems are privately owned and operated, and as such, we reserve the right to change access policies and allow/deny people access for any reason.

We make no guarantees of any kind about our services. If we are down or unavailable, other then contacting the administrative staff, you must wait until services are restored.

We reserve the right to change these terms of conditions by posting a new version.

We reserve the right to set additional conditions for certain services.

You agree by using our services to limit our liability to the amount of fees paid to us for the current or immediately prior period of service, and that our free services are provided with absolutely no warranty or liability of any kind.

 

Acceptable Use Policy

Users of our services/systems are not allowed to participate in any kind of abuse, such as spamming, DoS (Denial Of Service) attacks, harassment, cracking, or any illegal or unethical activities.  This is not a complete list, and we reserve the right to make changes to this list or define what we consider abuse or unethical.  The SOSDG is based in the United States Of America, so definitions of what is illegal or not is based on the laws of the USA , and specifically Tacoma, WA and Boise, ID.

Data placed on our servers is owned by it's creator.  You are not allowed to store content or media on our servers if you do not own it or are not authorized to possess it.

Privacy Policy

Any and all information collected or stored by us may be used to enforce our terms of service, to prosecute unauthorized access, or pursuant to a court order.

We may require and collect personal information to prevent abuse of our system. This includes access to our certain tools and e-mail/shell/web developer access. We regard this as private information, and will use it only as necessary to provide requested services or to enforce policies as stated above.

When you access any of our services, our servers will log such information as your IP address and User-Agent. These logs are normally aggregated before use, and are not used to personally identify any visitor except in the event of abuse of our services.

Mail sent to our servers is logged and possibly (in the case of spam especially) saved for later review and possible addition to our blocking list (the AHBL). The SOSDG reserves the right to delay or block any mail which we feel is inappropriate or unsolicited in nature.

Any email or other communication directed to the SOSDG, AHBL, or it's staff may be stored, publicly displayed, archived, posted, or submitted to third parties without restriction. Generally, only communications of a threatening or abusive nature will be used in this manner. We strongly suggest that you think your messages through very carefully before e-mailing us if you wish to avoid making a fool of yourself in front of millions of people.

 

Google Ads

Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site.

Google's use of the DART cookie enables us to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our sites and other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
